2014 American Red Cross Blood Drive

Back

Hello Brothers,

This was my first year (2014) helping with the blood drive and being the State Community Director; and I was ecstatic with the response I got for volunteers. In speaking with past community directors on how to recruit volunteers they warned me that it would come down to the last minute, but that wasn't the case this year. Thank you for signing up and signing up early.

We had brothers from as far north as Brigham City and as far south as Payson with everything in between. We had brothers that had volunteered for this event many years in a row to brand new volunteers. Again I can't begin to thank you enough!

The results of our effort helped the American Red Cross collect 411 units of blood. Every unit has the potential of saving 3 lives, that means we could impact 1,233 lives! That is awesome!

The bragging rights for the council that brought the most volunteers this year goes to St. Olaf council 5502, they had 6 brothers come and help at different times of the day. A big thank you to our Payson and American Fork brothers that come up every year, along with our Brigham City brothers that traveled down to help. Our Insurance brothers had a fantastic showing, and I greatly appreciate the individual volunteers that signed up and came. A huge thank you goes to everyone that volunteered and donated blood! I can't wait to see which council brings the most brothers next year! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
Vivat Jesus!
